Latimer’s congressional race was quickly called by the Associated Press at 9:26 p.m. Tuesday night with the 70-year-old Democrat cruising to 89.9 percent of the total vote.  
A month after handily defeating incumbent Congressman Jamaal Bowman in that primary, George Latimer dared to boast a little about that prime-time exchange.
The Associated Press called the race for George Latimer at 9:38 p.m. on Tuesday night.
The United Democracy Project, a pro-Israel super PAC, has spent $11.6 million in an effort to get George Latimer elected to Congress.  
George Latimer had raised $5.77 million compared to $4.31 million by Jamaal Bowman, as of June 5.
Both campaigns have long lists of endorsements, but they come from very different places.

Forty-eight percent of voters support Latimer while 31 percent support Bowman, according to the Emerson College Polling/PIX11/The Hill survey.
