Rye High School hockey players are comfortable on ice, so a little rain wasn’t going to discourage them from their goal — holding a successful carwash fundraiser. The team did so well that they made enough money to pay for three fan buses for the upcoming season. On top of that, a Rye hockey family donated enough for an additional bus.

The Garnets ice hockey team has been without a home rink since Sandy. Their home games will be played at the Ice Hutch in Mount Vernon until the Playland Ice Casino is rebuilt.
