As summer comes to a close, I am spending the end of the Brazilian winter in Rio de Janeiro, my hometown. With temperatures ranging from 60 to 85, I have to say that winter is a breeze.

As temperatures start to go down back home in Rye, I thought it would be appropriate to get some season-changing inspiration from the Girls from Ipanema.

No white after Labor Day? That fashion rule went out of style ages ago. Just add a nice sporty jacket to your little white dress. The suede bag adds texture and the messy top bun brings out that cool and relaxed look. If anyone asks, just blame it on Rio.
