The Withering Condition of the Walkway

The Withering Condition of the Walkway

One of Rye’s most beautiful assets is the walkway along Long Island Sound. Sadly, because of neglect, the walkway is pitted, lacking new pebbles and sand, and potholed.

I have been to meetings and heard about Rye Town Park “studies” but nothing is done. Repairing the walkway isn’t costly. Can’t the outside contractors who maintain the park lawn plant some flowers near the path?

I do not know the politics of this, but I do know the Park attracts many people from Rye and beyond and someone isn’t paying attention to a wonderful walkway along the waterfront.
