At this year’s tournament, Rhythm on Rye sang two pieces: their own arrangement of Sheppard’s “Geronimo”, featuring RHS senior Yuike Abe, and a self-arranged mash up of Ariana Grande’s “Honeymoon Walk” and Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors”, featuring Grace Dowling and Ben DeMarco.
The group is led by seniors Jacqueline Beveridge and Ross DeMarco who, along with Michael Chen, arrange the music. This year’s choreographer is Molly Powers.
With guidance from RHS Musical Director Tom Snowden, whom they affectionately refer to as “Aca-Papa”, the students arrange all the music and choreograph the dances. In prior years, Rhythm on Rye has won Best Arrangement and has come in second place.
