They’ll be rolling out the wools and indoor/outdoor area rugs at Carpet Trends. The sale is so big that they put up a tent in the parking lot. Check out the Remnant Wall offerings, but don’t miss the selection of Karistans, Couristans, and Stark’s Prestige division.

Woodrow Jewelers will be offering some amazing prices — 50% off designer watches (Luminox) and a select assortment of jewelry brands such as Honora, Nomination, and Judith Ripka.

All Paws is offering 50% off on a little bit of everything: gifts, treats, toys, sweaters, jackets and even “Life is Good” T-shirts for the humans in the family.

At Shoes ‘N’ More, expect to find shoes, bags, and accessories up to 50% off.

Across the street, Angela’s is offering up to 75% off on select shoes, bags and clothing from top tier designer names, such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Carlos Falchi, and Giuseppe Zanotti.

At Hampton Whites, look for designer finds galore at 10 to 50% off. Among the designers are Jonathan Adler, Asa Home, Design House, Trowbridge Gallery, and Napa Home and Garden. Owner Lynn McGuinn has a discerning eye and carries a great variety of home accessories, lighting, and floor coverings.

Let’s have some fun. That’s the theme of Learning Express for the Sidewalk Sale. On display, will be stuffed toys, including an irresistible panda, new games/activities like Puppet Time Theater, plus an assortment of cups, baubles, and bracelets – all with your name on them.

Up the street, Nest Inspired Home, a classic and contemporary home furnishings venue, has some great discounted items — up to 70% — in store for shoppers. Cashmere throws, pillows, art and furniture are among the eclectic mix. Rye’s fashion-finds staple, Great Stuff, will be offering a wide range of designer merchandise at amazing prices. You’ll find jeans, tees, and dresses at 65-70% off.

Inside Walin & Wolff, the specialty retailer of women’s designer shoes, handbags, and accessories, take an additional 25% off already low-priced items. Outside the Purchase Street shop, get there early for bargains on high- end designers like Jimmy Choo and Ferragamo.

John Givelkian, owner of Royal Jewels, will be offering a selection of affordable jewelry for the Sidewalk Sale. “The look is to have several bracelets and leather wraps on your arm,” he says. “We will have a diverse assortment of charms, evil eye bracelets, plus ankle bracelets.” The biggest draw may be the fact that they’ll be offering pearls at 25% .

There will be a huge sale on tees and hoodies at Candy Rox, with great deals and some “drastic reductions.” There will also be an array of discounts on toys and other gift items. And the kids love the dollar candy bags! Co-owner Valerie Stone says there will be a special surprise for sidewalk shoppers. Guess we will have to stop by to check it out!

At Lola, owner Caroline Schneider says there will be discounts up to 50% on sleepwear, shirts, and tees. There will also be deep discounts on select clothing, table toppers, and bags.

Around the corner on Purdy Avenue, The Open House will offer discounts on selected sample, display, staging, and seasonal merchandise. Owners Michele Green and Barbara Sperling say these sale items will include a variety of home accessories, tabletop, lighting, furniture, and art. A daily drawing will take place for a $25 store gift card during Rye’s three-day Sidewalk Sale.

Renee Drummond, owner of Rhythm in Rye, always looks forward to the Sidewalk Sale. “It’s a great event which brings the community together,” she says. Weeks in advance she started prepping. The whole store — handbags, shoes, clothes, housewares, and art — will be discounted by 40%. The sale will be “mostly” inside to keep all shoppers “nice and cool.”

Parkers will be offering out-of-season clothing — parkas, fleeces, snow gear, gloves, and hats — at discounts ranging between 30-70%. In addition, select apparel, handbags, duffels, and backpacks will be discounted 50%.

The active bunch won’t want to miss the bargains at Rye Running Company. Expect to find up to 70% off on footwear and apparel. There are whispers of special bargains of buy two and get a very special price.

Kevin Butler of Rags, the longtime Rye retail emporium, will be back with a great selection, outside Rye Eye Care. In between shopping, stop long enough for a free massage from Healthy Massage. And realtors will be streetside, handing out water and shopping totes. With all of these bargains, Purchase Street is definitely living up to its name.
