Upcoming Greenwich Hospital Programs

For many, the longer hours of darkness trigger profound depression and listlessness. Learn how to lift your spirits and fight Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) at a workshop at the hospital’s Noble Conference Center, January 22 from 6:30-8 p.m. Psychiatrist Jeremy Barowsky, MD will lead the program, with assistance from dietitian Erica Christ. They’ll offer suggestions to help keep winter mood disorders at bay and get you back on track.

Diabetes Support Group & Boot Camp

 

The group meets monthly to discuss a variety of topics, including eye health, neuropathy, foot care, heart health, and self-management tools. At the next meeting, January 14, endocrinologist Dr. Judith Goldberg-Berman will speak on diabetes and medications. The meeting will be held in the Noble Conference Center from 7-8:30 p.m. No registration is necessary.

 

Greenwich Hospital also offers a Diabetes Boot Camp on Thursdays from 12-1 p.m. at 55 Holly Hill Lane. Learn how to manage your diabetes in a fun, interactive setting. This ongoing training series empowers participants to take charge of their disease through education and demonstrations. On January 17, the topic is “Goals of Self-Management/Managing Acute Complications.” On January 24, the focus is “Portion Control/Timing Meals & Meds.”
