Violet Theodos Valauri of Rye passed away on September 28, 2017, at the age of 93.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn., she was the daughter of Louis and Mary Theodos and sister of Vincent Theodos. She graduated from Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Her husband, Augustus Valauri, a founding member of the Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the NYU Medical Center, predeceased her.
Mrs. Valauri is survived by her three sons, Dr. Fredrick A. Valauri and his wife Christina of Manhattan, Dr. David V. Valauri and his wife Jill of New Canaan, Conn., and Dr. Bruce G. Valauri and his wife Geri of Roslyn, N.Y. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Matthew, Amanda, and Nicholas of New Canaan, Alexandra of Manhattan, and Alivia and Sophia of Roslyn; as well as a great-grandson, Brady.
