Battista — Woods

Emily Logan Battista and Avery Carson Woods were married on June 23, 2018, at the Alumni Memorial Chapel of Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. Fr. Athanasius Murphy O.P. officiated. A reception followed at the Evergreen House.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew M. Battista of Towson, Maryland. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Woods of Rye, N.Y.

The bride was escorted by her father. Her sisters, Anne Marie Battista and Katie Lynagh, were the Maid and Matron of Honor, respectively. Also in the bridal party were Katherine Woods and Abigail Woods, sisters of the groom. The best man was D. J. Hennes of Rye, a friend of the groom.

The bride graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson and Harvard University. She is a Senior Manager, Brand Incubation for Walmart US eCommerce.

The groom is a graduate of Rye Country Day School, Trinity College, and New York University Stern School of Business. He is a Senior Marine Insurance Underwriter for RLI Corp.

After a honeymoon in Southeast Asia, the couple returned to their home in New York City and their dog Henrik.
