Julian — Duffy
Sarah Josephine Julian and Keith Michael Duffy were married on September 2, 2017 at Church of the Resurrection in Rye. The Monsignor Donald Dwyer celebrated the nuptial mass, which was followed by a reception at Westchester Country Club.
The bride, 27, is the daughter of Thomas and Mary Julian of Rye. She graduated from Brown University with a degree in Public Policy and Economics, and received her JD from NYU School of Law in May. She is a law clerk at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
The groom, 27, is the son of Kevin and Lynn Duffy of Concord, Mass. He graduated summa cum laude in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University, and received his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management in May. He is a consultant at Bain and Company.
The couple met at Brown during their freshman year.
Tremendous fans of opera, they have been buying season tickets to the Met for the last five years, even though for the last three Keith has had to travel from Boston to enjoy the performance. During the dinner hour at their wedding, five “waiters” and a “chef” (professional opera singers) surprised them with a flash mob performance of an aria from “La Traviata”.
After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple moved into an apartment in New York City – an easier commute to both work and the Met.
