Calculus teacher Judy Conant recalls what an impressive math student he was. “John’s attention to details, his efficiency, his curiosity, the scope of his creativity, and his ability to see, with ease, the abstract and underlying principles were all exceptional. A consistent A+ student, he had perfect scores on a number of BC Calculus tests, as well as on his Multivariable Calculus Independent Study tests during his senior year.”
In a congratulatory letter sent by Trevor Packer, senior vice president of the College Board, to Upper School Principal Paul Wieman, Mr. Packer notes, “This outstanding accomplishment is likely a direct reflection of the top quality education being offered at Rye Country Day School. We applaud John for his hours of hard work and also his AP teacher for the ability to engage students and enable them to excel in a college-level course.”
