Down the tunnel hole
Rising young builders Johnny and Cora
How Do You Keep Busy During a Pandemic?
In the case of siblings Cora and Johnny, ages 7 and 6, when you’re stuck at home, you may have to build your own fun. When heavy snows hit Rye last month, the kids decided to design the perfect Snow Fort. They divided a space on their front lawn and started digging deep.
When they came up for air, they were pretty proud of their creation.
“We built walls!” reported Johnny.
Cora added, “We started with a straight staircase but then turned it into a spiral one, which was much more exciting.”
They also made slides through the snow. “They were like otters,” said their dad with a smile.
Neighbors of all ages stopped by daily to see the progress of their creation. One dad called it a castle and Cora “Princess Elsa”.
We’ll go one step further and crown Cora and Johnny “Fort Royals”.
