A Drip Here, a Drop There Can Make a Big Difference

The Rye Garden Club’s Conservation Committee recently brought “Drip and Drop” to a first-grade Science class at Rye Country Day School.

The Rye Garden Club’s Conservation Committee recently brought “Drip and Drop” to a first-grade Science class at Rye Country Day School. The engaging program uses a felt storyboard to share the adventures of two raindrops, and, along the way, teaches about the lifecycle of water and its importance to our environment. Accompanied by songs and story reading, the presentation helps youngsters understand water conservation and involves them in lively discussions about how they can make a difference.

Drip & Drop is available upon request to nursery and elementary schools in Rye. Contact Deb Hutchins at debdowh@aol.com.
