A Little Self-Discipline at the Rye Y

The Rye YMCA is offering a yoga series Thursdays from 5:30-6:15 p.m. through August.

 

The Rye YMCA is offering a yoga series Thursdays from 5:30-6:15 p.m. through August. All workshops are free for members. Nora LeMorin, a certified integral yoga teacher with 20 years of experience, will lead the classes. Call 967-6363.

 

July 26: Focus on practices and poses appropriate at all different levels of flexibility to help open the shoulders.

 

August 2: Bring a partner or work with a variety of other yogis in attendance.

 

August 9: At Yoga for Kids, children can learn focus and balance through poses and practices modified into a playful format. Special needs children and their families are welcome.

 

August 16: Learn a variety of meditation techniques and styles for beginners.

 

August 30: Enjoy a fun and playful approach to traditional hatha yoga.
