The awards, now in their 13th year, are from a fund created by residents to which they contribute voluntarily and then allocate, based upon on student applications. To be considered, a student must be continuing in an educational program after high school, which may be a college, university or trade school. This year’s winners are: Simone Barnes (Port Chester), George Boateng (Bronx), Shakur Brown (Bronx), Dayna Cameron (White Plains), Nicole Ferrara (Harrison), Jasmine Gayle (Bronx), Kristian Killeen (Rye Brook), John Vize (Harrison), Kadeem Weetom (Bronx), Marsha White (Yonkers), Gabriela Bukanowska (Port Chester), Kuang-Ying Chen (Pelham), Pablo Duran (Port Chester), Stefan Golubovic (Larchmont), K’nicia King (Rye), Sabrena Myers (Bronx), Rahul Panicker (Larchmont), Vineeth Panicker (Larchmont), Dennis Perusko (New Rochelle), Monique Thompson (Port Chester), and Chad Vickers (Bronx).
