In our annual list (December 14, 2012) of “Organizations That Make a Difference,” the non-profits that are the heart of the Rye community, we neglected to include Human Development Services of Westchester (HDSW).

HDSW, which is based in Mamaroneck, offers services and housing throughout the county. The organization’s goal is to assist persons recovering from mental illness to reintegrate into the community.

Thank you, Isobel Perry, for writing to ask us to include HDSW in all future features on our wonderful and important area organizations.

May the spirit of giving be with you throughout the year.
