Over 100 supporters shared in a farm-to-table inspired meal at the Friends of Rye Nature Center’s first Nature Access Fund benefit May 20.

The community’s support of the Nature Access Fund will support programs for over 400 people who otherwise might miss opportunities to interact with nature firsthand. The Fund, notes Friends president Jen Morris, will provide summer camp for 120 inner-city students; hands-on gardening programs for 100 senior citizens and low-income women; seasonal outdoor experiences for 30 disabled adults; and science and nature enrichment for 250 minority students.
