Chamber and City Join Forces to Bolster
Business During Crisis and Beyond
While “non-essential” services are on hold to stem the spread of Covid-19, the impact on small businesses has been devastating. To ensure the survival of as many businesses and nonprofits as possible, Mayor Josh Cohn created a committee and, in collaboration with the Rye Chamber of Commerce, has developed an initiative called RYE’S UP. This digital destination will give residents an opportunity to support local businesses, restaurants, and nonprofits online and <<all in one place>>.
The Rye Chamber of Commerce website (ryechamberofcommerce.com) will host the program, and their social media platforms will support communications. The Chamber will post links to e-commerce or informational websites, details of restaurant delivery services, and Gofundme information.
The Chamber invites everyone to follow along on Instagram and Facebook.
The committee is taking a grass-roots approach to getting the community involved, tapping into Rye Moms and The Rye Record.
The launch date for RYE’S UP is April 20.
