All eyes, before they were on the storm, were focused on the Photographers on Location show that opened at the Rye Arts Center over the weekend. It is the perfect complement to the Painters on Location exhibits held at the center for a decade. Many fine local photographers captured the community, large and small, in black and white and dazzling color. And the community came out to see this special exhibit.
Helen Gates, RAC Executive Director, says what she loves most about the show is that “it features our community at its best. The photos capture kids, families and downtown merchants during Halloween window painting, plus all the beautiful natural resources of Rye.”
Go see this terrific show in the RAC Gallery. All works are for sale, with proceeds going to center, which truly believes in art for all, and the participating photographers.
