One afternoon last week, the siblings collected close to 300 pennies at Osborn School, where Ava is in 4th grade and Christian in 2nd grade. They set up a table — with a little help from their mom, Nicolette — on which they placed a sign and a big plastic bowl and ice bucket.
The monies they raised, thanks to fellow students, who dug deep, and their parents, were sent to the Red Cross.
