Most of us are more than ready to get our fun pants on and make up for all the celebrating we have been missing. Now that the vast majority of adults have been vaccinated and the CDC has announced it is safe for us to lose the masks in public, there are plenty of opportunities ahead this summer to do just that.
Luckily, fashion has been on the same wavelength because printed pants — loud and bright, bold and graphic — are exploding all over the retail world.
Even if you’re not quite ready to go to actual parties just yet, you can still jump on this trend bandwagon and put a little fun-loving vibe in your wardrobe.
There seems to be a movement towards a more maximalist aesthetic (think 60s/70s), playing around with bright colors and loud prints… a more relaxed, light-hearted look.
And the fun isn’t just being had on the bottom. Mix and match shades and prints from top to bottom. The printed pant becomes a foundation to build your wardrobe around, paired with easy basics and brights, and equally playful fashion jewelry (costume is having a moment lately).
There is something for everyone here: it doesn’t necessarily have to be loud or bright, nor does it have to make a statement. All that is required is a desire to get out there and, well, have a little fun. What’s to lose? We’ve been there, done that.
