The Reds won the Rye Little League Intermediate Championship last month. The championship game featured the teams with the two best records — the undefeated Dodgers and the Reds, who had two losses during the regular season. The Reds won 11-2 behind the pitching of James Petersen and Julia Bateman.

The Reds won 11-2 behind the pitching of James Petersen and Julia Bateman.

 

Jason Rosenfield pitched three strong innings for the Dodgers to keep the score within one early on. But the Reds’ bats came alive in the 4th inning. John Goldzer, Hal Nathan, and James Mackle scored two runs apiece for the winning Reds.
