All of Rye High School’s fall teams qualified to receive the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar Athlete Award, each having met the required number of students with a 90%+ average.

The news was announced just as Rye High received a trophy from the NYSPHSAA in recognition of earning a School of Distinction Award for the 2014-15 school year. The Award, which RHS has now won three times, is given to schools whose athletes maintain a 90%+ average across all interscholastic teams, every season, all year.
