Super Model Valentina Zelyaeva & Photographer Eli Schmidt at 265 Locust Ave.
In September Rye resident and former model, Kicki Storm read an article in the Sunday NY Times about renting out your house for film/tv/print and decided to send in a few photos of her house at 265 Locust Ave. Shortly thereafter the “Location Department” an agency that specializes in matching the perfect location for fashion and commercial clients contacted her and sent their professional photographer to photograph the entire house. Within a week of listing her house there were three separate requests for shoots. One particularly interested her because having been a model for many years she knew the level of talent and what to expect behind the scenes.
On October 25th, Kicki’s house was the location for the Carlisle Collection’s Summer 2020 fashion shoot for their upscale women’s wear. Super model, Valentina Zelyaeva, who was the face of Ralph Lauren for eleven years, was photographed by world renowned fashion photographer, Eli Schmidt. Top makeup artist Andie Markoe-Bryne and Hairstylist Zaiya Latt were on the team too. In addition to the props team and a line of production cars in the driveway was an enormous collection of beautiful silk flowers to transform the garden plantings into “blooming” summer buds and to create the summer scene for the fashion collection. The Carlisle Group chose Kicki’s house for its classic style and modern interior design which worked well with their elegant fashion collection. 265 Locust Avenue was transformed into a high fashion photo shoot on a beautiful day with a complete production set of lighting, camera, props, catering, high fashion photographer and, of course, a super model. This confirms what we already know- Rye is the place to be.
