When Playland reopened June 26, all ages flocked to our treasured amusement park, and there is no sign of a slowdown.
They headed straight to the century-year-old carousel, which has been lovingly restored; the Derby Racer, which was built for Playland and is one of only three steeple chase rides in the country; the Dragonator, which when it opened in 2019 was the first new ride at Playland in a decade; and, of course, the Dragon Coaster, which County Executive George Latimer affectionately refers to “as the symbol of all things Playland.”
