It’s the Law: Do Not Knock Registry

An owner/occupant of a City property may prohibit soliciting on the premise by completing a “Do Not Knock” form at the City Clerk’s office.

 

An owner/occupant of a City property may prohibit soliciting on the premise by completing a “Do Not Knock” form at the City Clerk’s office.

 

The premise will appear on a Do not Knock registry or list and a sticker may be purchased for display to solicitors.

 

Solicitors need to obtain a copy of the DNK registry, when their permit is issued, and, it is the solicitor’s responsibility to observe the owner/occupant’s request.

 

Violators may be subject to a fine of not more than $250.
