Rye’s Central Business District continues to expand. Head further on Purchase Street next to the UPS store and find a lovely surprise. Joining the growing number of retail outlets on Purchase Street North is Lovely Nails & Spa, which opened last month, offering a wide array of services, from manicures and pedicures to massages, facials, and more.

Are you’re interested to learn from Online Nail Courses with skilled and experienced award-winning educators who are passionate about nail products and training and sharing their amazing skills? If yes, then these online nail tech courses are the best ones for you! Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive a certificate which is an industry-recognized qualification.

Owner Chang Liu is eager to welcome Rye residents and provide affordable pampering with special touches, such as a mini-neck massage and mini-hot stone hand massage during manicures and paraffin treatments with pedicures.

Liu moved to New York from China in 2008 and worked in nail salons and spas in the city, learning the ins and outs of the business. A year ago she asked herself: “Should I start a nail salon of my own?” Even though Liu has been pursuing a college degree as a part-time student at LaGuardia Community College and will graduate next semester, she decided to follow her dream and open her own place at the same time. When a friend recommended Rye as a nice community, she searched and found the perfect spot for her business at 224 Purchase Street.

With her parents’ help, Liu designed the interior of the salon, which has seven state-of-the-art pedicure chairs, eight manicure tables, and six drying stations, plus rooms in the back for facials, massages, and waxing. Liu paid close attention to detail in creating the space, making sure that the pedicure chairs had adequate space between them and adding live rather than artificial plants  — orchids and potted palms — along with soothing music to enhance the tranquil atmosphere.

There’s a staff of professionals with expertise in areas, such as hot stone and deep tissue massage and specialty facials. Lovely also provides eyelash and eyebrow tinting. Liu wants customers to try different services and offers a special each month. The June monthly special, which will continue in July, is a lemon spa pedicure, which helps boost circulation and includes a callus treatment, 15-minute foot massage, and manicure for $49.99. Additional specials in June and July include a mani/pedi for $24.99 and a 20 percent discount on all facials.

Lovely also has a rewards membership program at no charge which offers a free service after 200 points and a 30 percent discount on birthdays. There’s also a punch card that rewards cardholders after ten visits. Additional savings are available with a variety of packages.

For a lovely experience, drop in or call 967-1155. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:30-7:30 and Sunday from 10-7. Parking is available in the back.
