She married Theodore R. Konopka at Rye Presbyterian Church on June 1, 1946.

At St. Peter’s Church in Port Chester, she was a member of the Vestry for many years and taught Sunday School. The Konopka’s belonged to Rye Fish and Game Club and enjoyed boating on their several boats, all named Lar-Kon. In later years, she enjoyed being a member of the Rye Seniors, which meets at Rye Recreation.

“Our mom was the best stay-at-home wife and mother ever,” said her children.

Mrs. Konopka was predeceased by her cherished husband of 65 years, as well as her brothers Roger and Bill Lawrence. She is survived by her three devoted children, Judy Konopka Lennon (Bill) of St. Augustine, Fla., Theodore R. Konopka Jr. (Liza) of Rye, and Lynn Lawrence Latiak of Greenwich, Conn. She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren, William Lennon (Debby), Lynden Latiak (Joyce), Shawn Lennon (Alma), and Noelle Jean Gmitter; and five great-grandchildren: Cali, Kendall, and Blake Lennon and Violet and Tripp Latiak. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, neighbors, friends, and her faithful dog, Freckles.
