Registration for the second semester of KinderBlocks of Learning, Christ’s Church Nursery School’s afternoon kindergarten program, begins next week. The program offers literacy enrichment that is aligned to the Common Core Standards on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.

The class is taught by reading specialist Nicole Povemba, a graduate of Bank Street College (MS) and a trained Orton Gillingham teacher. Annie Farrenkopf, CCNS’s 5’s teacher, is the co-instructor.

On Thursdays, KinderBlocks offers a menu of activities: Theater Arts with Rye Arts Center teaching specialist Joy Smith, music with Jean Young, and a block of time in CCNS’s magical Block Room, where math concepts are taught through constructive play.
