Rye High senior Sophie Hessekial is heading up a prom dress drive outside the school library until May 18. She is collecting gently used formal dresses, tuxedos, shawls, and bags. The parent program is called L.A.C.E. (Ladies About Creating Excellence), and at the end of the drive, volunteers will pick up the dresses and distribute them to those high school students in need.

Last year, Sophie collected 50 dresses and she hopes to match or exceed that number this year.
