Maureen and Gerry Summa of Rye announce the engagement of their son, Douglas Vito to Elea English Bravakis, daughter of Olivia and Louis Bravakis of Worcester, Vermont.
The future groom is a graduate of Rye High School. He attended Colby College and New York University. He is presently employed at BlackRock.
The future bride graduated from U-32 High School in Montpelier, Vermont and from Hartwick College. She is currently employed at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
The two met in 2007 while working at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in Manhattan.
A wedding is planned for July of next year in Vermont.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lee Aylor of Nashville, Tennessee are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Brier Aylor, to William Edward Maurer, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Charles Maurer of Rye.
The future bride received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005. She currently works as a Private Banker and Vice President at Citi Private Bank.
The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Rye High School and a 2003 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Engineering Design.
He also works at Citi Private Bank, where he is a Senior Associate Banker and Vice President.
The couple met in New York City in 2007. They plan to be married in Nashville this October.
Christina and Donald GiaQuinto announce the birth of a daughter, Gemma Marie GiaQuinto, April 2 at White Plains Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces.
Her maternal grandparents are Joan Rutigliano, who resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Louis Rutigliano, who lives in White Plains. Her paternal grandparents are Barbara Loffler of Hilton Head, S.C., and Robert GiaQuinto of Rye.
