6/3: Garage sale signs at Oakland Beach Avenue, City Code violation. Resident notified signs must be removed.

 

6/3: Green Fords. Green Escort with handicapped plates reported driving erratically, westbound on Playland Parkway. Possible drunk driver in green Taurus reported, Forest Avenue/Grace Church Street.

 

6/3: Highland Road complainants stated they noticed cash missing from drawer, check of outdoor video showed an unknown male entering their home at 3 a.m.

 

6/2: Loud music reported complaint, Wappanocca Avenue/Highland Road. Condition corrected.

 

6/2: Male in pickup reported pulling row boat asking little girls on street if they wanted to ride in it, Beck/Roosevelt avenues. GOA.

 

6/2: Two large vehicles blocking traffic, Guion Road/Grace Church Street.

 

6/2: Boat reported on rocks off Playland.

 

6/2: Party reported falling off Rye Town Dock dislocating elbow.

 

6/2: Drunk male unable to walk reported by Cedar Place/Manursing Avenue. Transported to Greenwich Hospital.

 

6/1: For-tunate. Officer found intoxicated girl by Rye Golf Club at 2:20 a.m. attempting to walk home. Stopped, held for father’s arrival.

 

6/1: Boulder, garbage bin, other debris removed from Milton Road/Hewlett Avenue area.

 

6/1: Solicitor reported on Hix Avenue. Had current City Hall permit.

 

6/1: Resident complained of large group hanging out, urinating in public, Intervale Place/Cowles Avenue.

 

5/31: Truck reported stuck under bridge, Purchase Street/Station Plaza.

 

5/30: Occupied, suspicious black vehicle reported in rear of Marriott Courtyard making guest nervous.

 

5/30: Caller reported party driving red SUV struck her vehicle and left scene. No damage, but caller thought driver may have struck female with him in SUV. Spoke with Driver, there was no striking.

 

5/30: Follow-up to report of suspicious Asian male walking by Sackett Landing. Found at Grace Church Street, advised not to walk on private property and in backyards. Language barrier, apparently homeless. Directed to train station.

 

5/30: Vessel reported in distress outside Rye Harbor. Officer responded to end of Tide Mill to assist in rescue of 44-foot vessel on rocks.

 

5/29: Caller reported leaf blowers, Mildred Avenue/Chamberlain Street.

 

5/29: Caller reported harassment by parties from MVA showing up at her house and refusing to leave.

 

5/28: Rye Country Day School evacuated due to telephone threat. Rye City schools suspended outdoor activities due to incident, precaution only.

 

5/28: Extra patrols, RHS, RCDS, Osborn/Midland/Milton schools, 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Nothing unusual to report.

 

5/27: Construction workers on Barron Place advised of City Code. Warning issued.

 

5/27: Credit cards opened in Guelisten Place resident’s name without permission.

 

5/27: Resident lost his passport in Rye.

 

5/27: Devereux Court-et? Complaint of loud music, Devereux Court, 5:46 p.m.

 

5/26: Resident reported injured deer in backyard, Forest Avenue. Deer ran off, rear left leg broken.

 

5/26: Caller reported finding bones while working in garden. Remains of animal, disposed of properly.

 

5/26: American Graffiti. American Yacht Club reported graffiti at Picnic Point.

 

5/26: Magnolia Place caller stated his neighbor was on his property with dogs and he has confronted neighbor several times about it. Officer’s attempt to contact owner of animals unsuccessful.

 

5/26: Maple Avenue caller reported she was locked out of house, left key inside while parents out of town. Advised to call locksmith.

 

5/26: Walk-in reported unknown party broke his vehicle’s window while parked at Rey Rec.

 

5/26: Anonymous caller reported fight about to break out at Midland School field. Group causing trouble GOA. Small group of youths left playing basketball, non-residents. Dispersed.

 

5/26: Midland Avenue resident reported hearing two gunshots fired. Canvassed area with negative results. Park Street residents heard what sounded like two fireworks.

 

5/25: Caller reported lot of screaming and hollering in Gagliardo Park. Youths playing basketball.

 

5/25: Cottage squeeze. Caller reported cars parked illegally making it difficult to get out of his driveway, Cottage Street/Midland Avenue. Summons issued.

 

5/25: Kids’ yellow Trek Jet bike found in front of Graham’s Funeral Home, taken to HQ.

 

5/25: Callers reported trees down, Osborn/Boston Post roads and York Avenue. DPW notified.

 

5/25: Eldridge Place caller reported receiving unwanted threatening phone calls.

 

5/24: The Sun Also Screeches. Forest Avenue complainant showed officer damage made to her French doors caused by pecking by hens, as well as bird feces covering her patio and yard. Showed photos of hens at back door, pointed out neighbors shed, which they use as chicken coop, stated hens make loud screeching noise similar to rooster when sun rises. Officer witnessed one or two hens walking on complainant’s property, contacted hens’ owner, who said they “fed some wild birds.” Officer explained he knew of hen ownership, issued two summonses: Harboring of animals and nuisance from hen noise.

 

5/24: Noise complaint, Intervale Place. House party, kids playing basketball. Youths fled area upon arrival. Sgt. Spoke to homeowner.

 

5/23: Suspicious male reported, vicinity of Post Road Market, described as short with crew cut wearing checkerboard jacket.

 

5/23: Leaf blower reported, Boulder Road/Locust Avenue.

 

5/23: Topsail Lane/Van Wagenen Avenue resident reported tan dog of unknown breed near her home. Does not recognize from area.

 

5/23: Neighbors dispute over walking dog, exchanging action/words.

 

5/23: Caller reported his sister was bitten by large copper-colored dog in front of their Topsail Lane house. Dog captured by Humane Society, taken to facility for identification and observation.

 

5/22: Post office official bitten by dog on Reymont Avenue.

 

5/22: Fairlawn Street resident reported someone entered back door and left.

 

5/21: Walk-in filed report regarding deliberate damage to his vehicle cause by known party in December 2012.

 

5/21: Caller reported being aggressively approached by two unleashed dogs inside Rye Town Park.
