To stand as one of America’s top 100 among 5,000 private clubs is the highest recognition of club excellence — equivalent to the Mobil 5 Star rating of hotels and resorts. Only three percent of the nation’s clubs earn this honor.
To determine the ranking, the Club Leaders Forum uses a unique survey and point system and peer review process. Questionnaires are sent to both the general manager and the presidents of every club included in the Club Managers Association of America. Respondents rank the top clubs within their respective geographic region and those nationwide. They consider multiple aspects of the private club, including quality of membership, management, and staff, tradition and culture, amenities, and governances. After calculating the points, the Club Leaders Forum selects the top performers.
“Members and management of the Apawamis Club are pleased that the award reflects well on Rye and are delighted to be a part of this community,” said General Manager Rob Schlingmann.
