The Rye Y Wave Ryeders first meet, January 13 against JCC of Manhattan, was a nail-biter. “It was a very exciting meet, but in the end our kids pulled it off,” said Coach Kate Tiedemann. “I was especially proud of the team spirit and the respect the swimmers showed to their competitors, shaking hands and congratulating each other after every race.”
Five days later, the Rye Y team topped rival Harrison. The Wave Ryeders go up against the New Rochelle YMCA February 10.
