10/26: Three 15 year-old females reported white male in red sweater and hat in his 20s pulled knife on them at Rye Rec, stated “give me all your money.” Suspect started to follow them towards Midland Avenue as they ran to nearby home. Available units sent. Detectives made arrest 10/29.

10/21: Lost. St. Vincent’s Hospital security chief reported he was on s/b side of Station Plaza with victim of cell phone larceny. He stated black male offender was at location wearing Yankees jacket, white T-shirt, black hat. Searched area, no phone located.

 

10/21: Caller reported motorcycles drag racing in Playland parking lot. Assisted County PD.

 

10/20: White Noise. White vehicle reported sounding horn for over 10 minutes, Colby Avenue/Sonn Drive. G.O.A.

10/20: Youths reported crossing train tracks at Depot Plaza/Peck Avenue. MTA on scene, youths turned over to parents.

 

10/19: Bagged. Caller reported suspicious person camped out at end of Hix Avenue near golf course with long blond hair and bag of some sort. Performer on her way to party.

 

10/19: Caller advised of solicitor in Bennett Street/Helen Avenue area knocking on every door to sell stuff. African–American male dressed in dark navy sweatshirt with gray box or bag in hand.

 

10/19: Solicitors selling magazines, Brown Avenue/Centre Street area. Group had City Hall permit.

 

10/19: Caller reported group of 40-50 youths throwing garbage cans around Forest Avenue/Playland Parkway area.

 

10/19: Pumpkin Smashing. Caller reported group of 15-20 youths breaking pumpkins, Halstead Place/Rye Beach Avenue.

 

10/19: Indian Hill Road caller requested check of residence due to hearing gunshot or fireworks. Residence secure.

 

10/18: Larceny from vehicle reported, Harbor Lane.

 

10/18: Small brush fire reported near Avon. Extinguished.

 

10/18: Youths allegedly threatened at Village Green.

 

10/17: Officer flagged down by North Street walker who believed nearby fence was inadequate protection from dog barking at her. Fence inspected, all OK.

10/13: Golf Commission talking over a putt? Caller reported he heard commotion near 7th green, Rye Golf Club. Officers found green damaged, cart overturned. Cart retrieved by grounds super.

 

10/12: Halstead Place caller stated construction crew starting work too early. Not working, eating breakfast, carrying equipment.

 

10/12: Vehicle towed, Midland/Peck avenues, unlicensed operation.

 

10/12: Caller reported four carloads of youths headed for the Greenhaven beach, 8 p.m. Two units sent.

 

10/12: Complainant reported loss of phone in downtown shop. Tracked to Grace Church Street, Port Chester.

 

10/11: Rather scary. Walk-in complainant reported being harassed by a rather large white male wearing a black jacket with Harley-Davidson on it yesterday i.f.o. RHS during afternoon dismissal.

10/10: Unleavened. Bread truck with flat tire, flares set up, driver warned about being towed from busy roadway, Oakland Beach Avenue.

 

10/10: Walk-in reported he hit BPR/Bradford Avenue pothole two days before, blew out tire.

 

10/10: Unlocked door at open Manursing Way construction site with red pickup parked on property. Location had past larceny. Interior checked, all normal, nobody on site.
