Police Blotter 8/10: Illegal Beach Parking & Arrest Warrant Issued.

8/3 Vehicle reported parked in front of Midland Avenue residence, occupied by four, 10:45 p.m. All was in order.

8/3 Not the one in Kansas, sir. Vehicle idling over 25 minutes, Lindbergh/Hix avenues. Uber driver was lost and looking for directions to Manhattan. Sent on his way.

8/3 Large log creating dangerous situation for vessels. Marine unit removed log from water near Buoy 40A and returned to marina.

8/3 Criminal arrest warrant for Romal Jarret, Petit Larceny suspect in June 30 CVS incident. Was picked up by Mount Vernon PD.

8/2 Call Hef. Bunnies reported stuck in ditch, Hewlett Avenue.

8/2 Neighborhood pest. Caller reported door-to-door solicitor in area of Chester Drive/Douglas Court, 11:11 a.m. Not soliciting; was notifying neighbors of future pest control work.

8/2 “Swiss-Cheese” law. Leaf blowers reported, Manursing/Midland avenues. Spoke to party; property owned by Con Ed and buried transformers must be maintained.

8/2 Assisted Marriott management with removing unwelcome guest.

7/31 Located disabled boat in Milton Harbor by Hen Island cut. Sea Tow was on scene and towed boat.

7/31 Raise the fine! Complainant reported vehicles parked in violation of beach ordinance, Redfield Street. Six summonses issued.

7/31 Rye Town Park reported gridlock near Dearborn Avenue entrance. Was temporary condition due to opening entrance to non-residents. All clear.

7/31 Complainant stated she left CVS and observed damage to her vehicle.

7/30 Overdue kayaker who left from Waters Edge reported, 9:41 p.m. Contacted Mamaroneck PD to assist in search. Upon arrival in area, desk advised kayaker had returned safely.

7/30 Multiple summons issued to beachgoers who were parked on Redfield/Old Rye Beach Avenue.

7/30 Walk-in reported his wallet was stolen from “cubby” at YMCA.

7/30 Caller stated a person at Nursery Field was moving soccer equipment around and described it as “really weird”. Party was placing tarp under goal posts to prevent plants from growing on them.

7/30 Caller stated body was floating in water at marina. Seventy-six-year-old male drowned.

7/29 Sheesh. Caller reported a suspicious gray hatchback with cones around it on Central Avenue. Was a street marking crew.

7/29 Courtesy transport of three females, one male to Marriott after RFD evacuated building at Apawamis Club after alarms sounded, 3:07 a.m.

7/28 Walk-in reported his wallet was stolen at YMCA.

7/28 Irate caller stated he was charged $250 on his credit card when he had asked for $20. Complainant received refund from Playland Market. All in order.

7/28 Caller stated there was no answer from Room 411, Marriott Courtyard. Deceased found.
