Rye Recreation hosted the local Punt, Pass, & Kick competition at Disbrow Park September 30.

Rye Recreation hosted the local Punt, Pass, & Kick competition at Disbrow Park September 30. Connor Popp, 11, was declared the first-place champion in his age group (10- and 11-year-olds), outscoring his nearest competitor by more than 20 points.

As a result of winning at the local level, Connor now moves on to the sectional competition to be held at Yorktown High School on October 20.  The winner of the sectional competition advances to compete for the state championship at a Jets or Giants game in November.
