Practice your scales and put on your dancing shoes, The Rye City Lions Club is hosting their 2nd annual “Rye’s Got Talent” competition, Saturday, March 21 from 7-9 at the Rye Country Day Dunn Performing Arts Center.
The talent categories include singing, dancing, instrumental, and drama. Groups may also perform. The age categories are: grades 6-8, grades 9-12, and adults, age 18 and up. Participants must live in Rye or attend school here. The event is limited to 20 performances.
The deadline for submitting an application is February 15. Applications can be emailed to Janet Malang at jmalang@ theosborn.org or picked up at Rye High and Middle schools, Rye Neck High and Middle Schools, Rye Country Day School, Port Chester High and Middle Schools, Rye Y, and Rye Recreation. Proceeds from the event will benefit Guiding Eyes for the Blind and VISIONS Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, two organizations that the Lions Club supports.
