Rye Detectives Extensive Work Leads to Multiple, Serious Charges for Burglars
On September 25, a Westchester County Grand Jury indicted Omar Shariff Willis, 29 years old, Latiek Frazer, 27, and Thomas Ricketts, 29, all of the Bronx, for offenses related to three burglaries committed in the City of Rye.
The indictments came after a yearlong investigation conducted by the City of Rye Police. Rye detectives recovered stolen property from various pawn shops in the Bronx, as well as during the execution of search warrants at the defendants’ apartments. A Porsche Cayenne, stolen during one of the burglaries, was also recovered in the Bronx by the detectives.
Latiek Frazer was arraigned on dozens of charges on October 16 before Judge George E. Fufidio. The bail bonds amount was set at $10,000 cash/$100,000 bond/$100,000 partially secured bond. Those who need bail money may seek the services of a bail bondsman or a bail bonds firm. Omar Willis and Thomas Ricketts failed to appear and there are outstanding warrants for their arrest. Their arraignments were adjourned after checking their jail records (go to this web-site for help) and are now scheduled for October 19 in Westchester County Court.
