For the third year, Wainwright House held a Spring Awakening Luncheon and presented the Fonrose Wainwright Condit Heart and Soul Award to persons who exemplify her mission to “serve the advancement of humankind through spiritual, philosophical, and ecological paths.” On May 19, awards were given to Helping Hands for the Homeless & Hungry, Bob GiaQuinto of Rye Beach Pharmacy, and the Rye Sustainability Committee.
It is hard to imagine an organization that does more to help the less fortunate than Helping Hands; one that does more to heal the sick than Rye Beach Pharmacy; or a group that could have done a more complete job than the Rye Sustainability Committee in providing the community with a blueprint for the future.
