Officials from St. Vincent’s Hospital Westchester, a division of Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, and the St. Vincent’s Auxiliary Board joined together last month to celebrate the 23 winners of the 32nd Annual Youth Awards. The winners, who included Amelia Brooks of Rye High School, Jonathan Durinda of Rye Neck High School, and Shalia Diaz Furment of School of the Holy Child, all received U.S. Congressional Certificates of Achievement, as well.
“We are incredibly proud to recognize these outstanding young individuals who have demonstrated a deep commitment to service and embody the values of St. Vincent’s Hospital,” said Michael Spicer, President and CEO. “Their dedication to making a positive impact in their communities is an inspiration to us all.”
The St. Vincent’s Youth Awards were established in 1993 to recognize young people who support the institution’s values, and to promote lifelong patterns of volunteerism.
