Families flocked to the Jay Heritage Center September 28 for Jay Day. Elisabeth Casey, Co-President JHC Preservationists, said they were thrilled with the turnout, which was close to 1,000.
Guests enjoyed a falconry demonstration, music by the Spizzwinks, Yale’s a cappella group, pony rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, face painting, and apple coring.
And there was plenty to munch on in between activities. Jerry’s Post Road Market provided hot dogs and doughnuts; the Melt Mobile grilled sandwiches to order, and Meredith’s Breads sold muffins, cakes, and cider.
