On the picture-perfect first day of fall, some 200 families headed to the Jay Heritage Center for their annual fall festival. As per tradition, Jay Day offered a healthy mix of old-fashioned fun and educational activities. Children enjoyed everything from pony rides to a petting zoo to pumpkin decorating. Not only were they enraptured by tales from the past but a majestic raptor was in their midst.
