O’Callaghan — LeGaye
Kelly Joy O’Callaghan, the daughter of Kevin and Meg O’Callaghan of Rye, and Albert Felicien LeGaye III were married June 30 at the Church of the Resurrection. The Rev. Jack
O’Callaghan, a Roman Catholic priest and a cousin of the bride, performed the ceremony, with the Rev. Brenda Husson, an Episcopal priest and an aunt of the bridegroom, participating. A reception at Westchester Country Club followed the ceremony.
The bride’s maid of honor was Kristina Kawas. The bride was also attended by Julie and Annie O’Callaghan, her cousins, and Julianne Mifflin Austin, Bridget Duffey, and Kathleen Brady.
The groom was attended by his best man, Bobby LeGaye, and groomsmen Quig Bruning, Clay Jewett, Donny Zimmanck, and Patrick and Jack O’Callaghan, brothers of the bride.
The bride and groom met while students at Dartmouth College.
Mrs. LeGaye, 23, is entering her second year at Boston College Law School and spent the summer working as a Private Wealth Management Associate at Goldman Sachs. She graduated from Rye High School in 2006.
Mr. LeGaye, who goes by AJ, is a sales executive at Crimson Hexagon, a Boston-based social media analytics company. He was born in Laguna Beach, California, and grew up in Copper Mountain, Colorado, where he attended Vail Mountain School. He is a son of Sally Husson.
The couple honeymooned in St. Bart’s and returned to Boston, where they reside.
Baker — Waite
Allison M. Baker and Justin C. Waite were married August 11 at South Shores Church in Monarch Beach, California. Pastor Derick Zeulner officiated. A reception followed at the bride’s parent’s home in Monarch Beach.
The bride, 29, is the Primary Case Manager at The Victorian of Newport Beach, a division of CRC Health Group. She is also studying for her master’s degree in clinical psychology at National University. She graduated from Dana Hills High School in Dana Point, Calif., and with honors from California State University at Fullerton.
She is the daughter of Monica Halvax of Monarch Beach, and Randy Baker of Queen Creek, Arizona. Her father founded Eagle High Reach Equipment LLC, a privately held construction and industrial equipment rental company serving southern California from five locations.
The groom, 36, teaches in the Newport-Mesa School District in Newport Beach, California. He graduated from Trinity-Pawling School and Franklin and Marshall College, where he majored in English. He also received an M.A. in The Teaching of English from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York.
He is the son of Barbara B. Waite of Rye, and Donald C. Waite III of Key Largo, Florida. His father is currently Director of The Executives in Residence Program and Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School. He is also Director Emeritus of McKinsey and Co.
The couple honeymooned in Ireland. They reside in Newport Beach, California.
Smith — Denoyer
Amanda Wells Smith and Terrence Edward Denoyer were married on August 11 in Mystic, Connecticut. Rev. Victoria Burdick performed the ceremony at Lighthouse Point on the grounds of the Mystic Seaport Museum.
The bride, 35, is a Project Director with The New Teacher Project (TNTP), which supports districts and states in developing policies aimed at ensuring all students have access to highly effective teachers. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University and holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of Social Work.
Ms. Smith is the daughter of Elizabeth Adams-Smith and Richard Y. Smith of Rye. Her father is President of Evergreen Capital Partners and Vice Chairman of Branford Castle, Inc. Her mother is President of Jerawyn Publishing. Her maternal grandfather was Francis H. Adams, the former Director of Circulation of the New York Times.
The groom, 35, is Associate Director at Gartner, Inc. and advises the City of New York on various technology projects. He is a graduate of James Madison University with a degree in Computer Information Systems.
Mr. Denoyer is a son of Brennie and Bernard F. Denoyer of Ridgefield, Conn. The groom’s father is the Senior Vice President of Finance at Synergy Pharmaceuticals.
The couple met in 2009 while working with the New York City Department of Education. They now live in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn and Mystic, with their dogs, Bailey and Biggie, and their cat, Blue. Terry proposed this past December on Grand Case Beach in St. Martin.
