From Manhattan to Milan, shops sparkled with beautiful models, cutting-edge fashions, and stylish events for the fourth Fashion’s Night Out September 6. After-hour shopping was in fashion in over 500 cities across the country, including, for the first time, Rye, our increasingly fashionable city.
Started by Vogue’s Anna Wintour in 2009 to restore consumer confidence, Fashion’s Night Out has become a star-studded show.
Angela Guitard, owner of the eponymous women’s boutique on Purchase Street, decided it was time to bring the excitement to our downtown. She invited the other clothiers and retail stores plus the restaurants and salons to join in the worldwide fall fashion party.
Everyone sipped champagne and dined on cupcakes courtesy of 350° Classic Bakeshop while checking out the runway fashions at Angela’s. Next door, Weezie D livened things up with a deejay. Everyone headed to the bar at Ruby’s Oyster Bar & Bistro, where former NBA great Isiah Thomas was mixing drinks. The fun and beautification continued at Nest Inspired Home, Woodrow Jewelers, All Paws, Lester’s, Euro Laser, The Open House, Lola, Frankie & Johnnies, The Running Company, Town & Country Hairdressers, Walin & Wolff, Twig Antiques, and Rhythm in Rye Too.
Oh, what a night!
