Love2BeFit, a stylish women’s athletic wear and contemporary sportswear boutique, is celebrating its one-year anniversary at 13 Rye Ridge Plaza in Rye Brook next month. Owner Patty Palmieri aptly describes her merchandise as “clothes you can work out and wear out.”
Providing both is very important to her as the petite and fit trendsetter also teaches interval fitness classes at The Gym in Armonk. The luxury fitness facility also houses Palmieri’s second Love2BeFit location.
No stranger to retail, Palmieri owned Consignment, Etc. on Greenwich Avenue for 12 years. Aspiring to incorporate both her passions — fashion and fitness — gave her the impetus to open Love2BeFit. Naming it was easy, she lifted the moniker right off her catchy vanity license plate.
Her attractive urban chic boutique carries affordable accessories and jewelry in addition to fitness clothing and what Palmieri likes to call “street wear that you’d wear out to dinner.” She has filled her store with trendy, funky, and sophisticated pieces. Fitness lines include Beyond Yoga, Splits 59, and Margarita. Among the street wear designers she carries are David Lerner, Ecru, and Heather.
“The store is not commercial; it’s not a department store. It’s unique. I try to bring fashion and fitness together,” she said.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sundays from 12-5 p.m. starting in October.
