When the organization received a grant, through YUSA, from the Centers for Disease Control, which identifies complete streets in its 24-point strategic plan for healthier communities, they knew the perfect recipient — the City of Rye. Through its Shared Roadways Initiative, the City had a shovel-ready project on a portion of Forest Avenue.
