Anne Louise Davis Savio of Cary, N.C., a former longtime resident of Rye, N.Y., passed away peacefully at Glenaire Continuing Care Retirement Community on September 11, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was 93.
Born in Greenwich, Conn., on August 9, 1927, she was the daughter of Raymond Edgar and Marie Curtis Davis.
Anne grew up in Port Chester and raised her family in Rye. She worked as a secretary at a number of organizations, including the American Can Company, the Rye City Board of Education, the United Methodist Center, and Jesse Lee Methodist Church. In 1977, she moved to Ridgefield, Conn. In 2003, she relocated to Cary, where she was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Her husband, David Edward Savio, predeceased her as did her sister, Josephine Schnautz.
Mrs. Savio is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Nancy (Richard) Marcello, Linda (Fernando) Gaviria, and Jane Savio (Kevin Sutton); seven grandchildren: Amy Myers, Daniel (Amber) Marcello, Natalie and Cristina Gaviria, and Ryan, Emily, and Bailey Hosfelt; two great-granddaughters (Shila Myers and Renata Marcello); two nieces; and a nephew.
A dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and friends.
A service was held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Memorial Garden on September 19. Donations in Anne Savio’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
