Families braved the weather and headed to the Rye Nature Center for An Old-Fashioned Winter Afternoon on February 8. They quickly warmed up with log sawing and archery. Many took a walk to the Maple Sugar Shack to learn how the process works. Everyone enjoyed toasted marshmallows and hot cider, while watching a masterful ice sculptor at work.
It was the perfect elixir for cabin fever.
