Despite relatively light district voter turnout to choose Republican County Committee members September 10, the meaning of the results still seemed to hold weight. Rye City Republican Committee Chair Anthony Piscionere Jr.’s preferred candidates, led by Joe Sack and Peter Lane, beat opposing candidates, some of whom are members of the Rye Republican Club.
In District Two, Andrew Dapolite and Diane Tolve received 37 and 30 votes respectively, while Fahey got 24. Voters chose two candidates in each district. Although several of the Electoral Districts were uncontested.
In District Nine, City Councilman (and GOP mayoral candidate) Joe Sack and former judge Peter Lane received 83 and 80 votes, while John Alfano garnered only 30.
